General
Information, Pricing, Estimates
Web Design, Digital Photography, and Graphic Design fees
are currently $50 per hour. Design work can easily be flexed
to accommodate most budgets. An average 4-6 page site, depending
upon complexity, can run between 10-30 hours. A free consultation
is offered to discuss the scope and type of work. To begin
work, 50 percent of the estimated price must be provided
by the customer.
Each web site includes all the follow-through details of
a professionally developed site including image text tagging,
a template page for future development, image optimization
for faster downloads without loss of quality, image retouching,
the very important aspect of metatag development and
search engine optimization and submittal to major
search engines and indexes -- because no matter how good
a site you have, it's worthless if your customer can't find
you!
We do not offer web hosting, but we have many affordable
sources and are happy to make suggestions based on your
budget, locality, and preferences. We are dedicated to prompt,
professional, courteous, and fun work with our customers.
Thank you for your interest! Please send any comments or
questions to al@mvtechinc.com,
or give him a call at (508) 693-3178.
Al Mahoney graduated
from Tyler School
of Art (Temple U., Philadelphia) with a B.F.A. in photography,
graphic design, and illustration. He began his career with
a decade as a professional fashion/editorial photographer
in Charlotte, NC. He left the studio to attain a graduate
degree in design and development of computer-based training
and instructional technology at UNC
Charlotte, creating the degree program there as the
first grad.
He then spent a decade as an interactive training engineer/designer
at Electric Boat Corp.
in Groton, CT, developing interactive computer-based training
products for the US
Navy nuclear submarine fleet. While at EBC he was part
of a team that developed interactive CBT instruction (including
digital photography, motion video, animation, and audio)
on each of the 36 systems aboard ship, produced wrote/shot/edited
training/corporate videos, and helped design and test control
panel visual displays for OHIO,
SEAWOLF, and VIRGINIA
class submarines.
He was heavily involved in the R&D of digital imaging
and intranet video delivery in the early 90's, including
the first web-based Navy training applications. In 1998,
he re-located to Martha's Vineyard for family reasons and
to work as a web designer in the private sector. He has
been senior designer for both MVOL and WMVY's sites before
beginning his association with MV Tech.
He's a resident of the East Chop area of Oak Bluffs with
his spouse and two children. He is a member of the Cape
Cod HS Football Referees Assn., and is involved in several
local sports organizations.
